Sid Bassett

ACMHC – Therapist

Sid has spent over two decades providing coaching and counseling services to different populations within diverse cultural settings in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Sid’s personal philosophy of counseling is rooted in unconditional positive regard and empathetic understanding. He has significant experience working alongside people of different cultures and non-traditional family systems to inspire, encourage, and challenge them to find healing mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. His natural disposition is one of being an authentic listener. He works alongside his clients to help them discover more about themselves and their struggles, dependencies, and/or patterns of behavior, while providing therapeutic resources and techniques to support them in making positive, lasting change. Sid understands the importance of providing an emotionally safe environment for clients to explore their challenges, fears and beliefs. He knows that everyone has a story-and he wants his clients to be happy with theirs.

Sid earned a bachelors degree from Brigham Young University, a masters degree in clinical mental health counseling from the University of the Cumberlands, and a masters degree in business administration from the University of St. Thomas. Sid is a member of the American Counseling Association, and is an avid researcher of developing techniques and therapeutic practices in the counseling field.
