Anthony Browning, MSN, APRN- Psychiatric Med Provider and Therapist
Anthony Browning, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Utah. He holds Masters degrees in both counseling psychology (MS from Utah State University) and Nursing (MSN from the University of South Alabama). He has worked since 1994 in a variety of clinical and research settings.
With expertise in both counseling and advanced practice nursing, Anthony is able to engage with clients in individual psychotherapy and also prescribe psychotropic medications when necessary. He takes an eclectic approach to therapy so as to personalize treatment for each individual and thereby maximize health and well-being. Above all, he seeks to understand each person from her/his own perspective, foster a strong clinical relationship based on empathy and genuineness, and exhibit unconditional positive regard. Anthony seeks to meet clients where they are and help them achieve personal goals based on their own value system.
Mr. Browning has experience managing a wide variety of mental health issues in children, adolescents, and adults. He is very research-oriented and utilizes an evidence-based and collaborative approach to treatment. Areas of particular interest include: anxiety and mood disorders, substance use/addiction, eating disorders, ADHD, and psychotic disorders. Anthony enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his wife, he likes to cook, is an avid podcast listener, and appreciates good music/movies. He and his wife have been married for 25 years and they have 4 children.
