Jamie Leavitt, AMFT - Associate Therapist

Jamie’s broad educational background and unique life experiences have given her an appreciation for working with people from all walks of life. Hailing from a creative and performing arts background, Jamie loves working with adolescents, adults, families, and seniors to help guide them to find creative solutions to unlock their intuitive problem-solving potential by using a mixture of solution focused and narrative modalities. She is particularly passionate about incorporating mindfulness into her sessions, along with a healthy dose of humor and creativity. She believes our lives are shaped by the stories we tell, so learning to tell a better story can improve our reality. She received her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) from Touro University. She is passionate about continuing to grow as a therapist.

Jamie spent the first half of her adult life in the music and entertainment industry as a producer and engineer. Early on she realized that her role as a music producer was essentially a role of a coach. When she retired from that career, she knew she wanted to become a therapist. Along the way she became certified as Life Coach to help people navigate their own personal journeys and achieve their goals. When she is not in sessions with clients Jamie enjoys playing drums, hiking, travelling, photography, reading tarot, baking, and making music in the studio. She is particularly fond of Scotland (and the British Isles) and even owns her own kilt.
