Hillary Bowler Davis, LMFT – Therapist

It’s not uncommon to hear laughter coming from Hillary’s office. Hillary brings both depth and levity to her sessions, helping her clients feel comfortable, connected, and ready to go to work. Hillary believes most people come to therapy with “unsolvable” problems and that healing comes when their relationship with their problem changes, making the impossible feel less so. Her goal is to help her clients experience more connection with themselves and with others so that they can grow through their challenges.

Hillary received her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Brigham Young University. Prior to that, she received her Bachelor’s of Science in Journalism from Utah State University and worked for several years in journalism, marketing, public relations, writing, and editing. Hillary has long enjoyed helping others tell their story and views therapy as an extension of this-helping others “write” the next chapter of their lives.

Hillary is trained in family systems theory and uses a combination of experiential therapy, attachment based therapies, internal family systems, ACT, CBT, and mindfulness to address her clients’ unique needs. She has also received training in emotionally focused couple therapy and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). Her interests and specialties include grief and loss, faith transitions/mixed faith relationships, healthy religious practice, parent-child relationships, women’s issues, infertility, couple therapy, anxiety, depression, and trauma.

Outside of work, Hillary enjoys spending time with her husband and family, baking, listening to podcasts, going to concerts, hiking, and attempting to keep her plants alive.
