Emily Flynn, LMFT intern

Life is a journey. At times, it’s full of joy and fulfillment; at other times, it can be painful and difficult. Emily has been on this journey for a long time and understands personally the highs and the lows. She also understands that having someone to work through the difficult times can make all the difference.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Marriage, Family, and Human Development from Brigham Young University. She is currently completing her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Abilene Christian University. She spent the past 24 years devoting her time and energy to raising seven beautiful and unique children with her husband. Each child and each phase of life has provided new opportunities to learn and to grow. Emily’s current phase includes parenting her three younger kids still at home and watching and supporting her four adult children as they venture off on their individual paths.

As a student and intern, Emily is now combining her life experiences with the extensive research and theories focused on helping individuals and families thrive. Emily is a firm believer that relationships have a significant impact on our well-being. Often, we take for granted how much we are influenced by our interactions in the past and present. Learning how to improve our relationships and stepping back to make sense of our experiences can make all the difference when we need healing. Emily finds particular joy in working with adolescents and parents as they navigate the journey to adulthood.

Emily accepts BCBS, Select Health, and self-pay.
